I am a native Texan, and have lived most of my life here in Central Texas. I still have moments when I drive by a developed area and recall the days of it being a field or a pasture.
Those who know me best know I love to compete and to serve. Today my serving focus is my family and those who have entrusted me with their home purchase. I love working hard for my clients, competing and negotiating for them every day. I believe in service after the transaction. Being a real estate resource for life is an honor. When I am not serving clients you can find me with my wife Victoria and our daughters Cynthia and Hannah, cooking dinner, hanging with the neighbors, playing golf or reading about real estate.

Josh, I am not sure if I really got into this, but I have seen enough of the insides of the real estate business to know that some significant percentage (most?) of agents put their own interest ahead of the buyer’s interest. I think this is a very short-sighted view, but I’ve seen it many times (I’m sure you have, too). My wife and I built our first house this past spring and summer. We asked Josh Slayton to be our realtor because we had never bought a house before and could use some guidance. He immediately became very helpful and we never regretted our decision to use him. His skills, knowledge, and professionalism made the process from start to finish exceptional and enjoyable. He was very attentive and fulfilled all of our needs. He was always ready to help and meet us when we needed him, even on short notice. He met my wife and I for lunches and other informal occasions to discuss options. We always felt very taken care of. He handled negotiations with our builder and was our voice when it came to issues with the superintendent. He was very diligent at making sure all of our concerns were acknowledged and addressed by the correct people.
His knowledge of the real-estate and mortgage political arena directly saved my wife and I money. Since we were applying for an FHA loan we are required to pay for mortgage insurance. He informed me that the current rule says that we have to pay that until we get a certain amount of equity in our house. However, the law was soon changing and if we did not have a case number by a certain date, we would have to pay for that mortgage insurance for the life of the loan. He instructed me to call my loan officer immediately and make sure that the case number had been filed because the deadline was coming up. We would have never known to do this if it was not for Josh’s keen knowledge and it will end up saving my wife and I over $50,000. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their realtor. He is very nice and lives to serve. Buying and selling real-estate is a very important step in most people’s lives and it is important to have someone like Josh who they can rely on and can be on their side to make sure they are getting the best deal.
