According to the upcoming July REALTORS® Confidence Index report being released later this month, the time homes stay on the market before going under contract has declined. The report notes that 59 percent of recent homes on the market were sold within 3 months of being listed, while a third of respondents said that recently sold properties stayed on the market for less than a month.
While not all homes sell quickly, locally we’ve seen homes that are priced well and staged with great curb appeal have flown off the market. A number of our listings have gone under contract within the first week after being listed. Though the summer market will be coming to a close soon with school starting back up again next week, homes are still moving.
