Stone Oak and The Preserve at Stone Oak are two adjacent Round Rock neighborhoods that were originally developed under separate homeowners associations, but in current practice have united and share amenities, functioning as a joint community. The two consist of several hundred lots in the far northwest corner of Round Rock, in Williamson County, just north of FM 1431. Homes here range in price from the high $100s- to mid $200s, making it a hot area for first-time home buyers and young families looking to buy in the highly rated Round Rock Independent School District. The community is conveniently located near the intersection of three of the fastest-growing towns in Texas: Round Rock, Georgetown, and Cedar Park.
Residents of Stone Oak and The Preserve at Stone Oak enjoy over 30 acres of greenbelt surrounding the community, including access to a number of small caves. In addition, neighbors share two community swimming pools and two parks with playscapes. The neighborhood is also only a few minutes from the expansive Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, which offers over 800 acres of natural hill country beauty and recreation options, including a 200 acre preserve.
