The High Country subdivision offers residents the best combination of location and convenience in Round Rock. Located south of Gattis School Road and west of Red Bud Lane, residents of this charming community enjoy easy access to Toll Road 45 and 130 for easy commutes to Austin or the surrounding areas. Just north of the subdivision is an H-E-B Grocery Store, Walgreen’s Pharmacy and other small shops.

A variety of activities are nearby including a roller skating rink, a kid’s inflatable play place and the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, a 50,500-square-foot facility with two basketball courts, weight room, aerobics classes, and indoor swimming pool. In nearby Pflugerville, shopping is convenient at the Stone Hill Shopping Center that includes a Target, Home Store, and Cinemark Movie Theater. Also a short drive away is the La Frontera Shopping Center with Wal-mart, Lowes, and Kohls. Dining out is fun with a multitude of restaurants in nearly every direction.

Just a short drive away, the 645-acre Old Settlers Park gives residents access a myriad of outdoor fun and includes the park’s playgrounds, hike and bike nature trails, baseball and softball fields, disc golf course, duck pond and the Rock‘N River water park open every summer.  For additional summer fun, residents can head over to the Hawaiian Falls Water Park in Pflugerville.

Homes in High Country vary from 1,300 square feet 3 bedroom 2 bath homes up to homes that are around 2,800 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. The majority of homes have two-car garages, while a handful have three-car garages, landscaped yards with mature shade trees.  Given the wide variety of home sizes available in High Country, homes generally range from the mid $100’s to the mid $200’s.

High Country Amenities

High Country offers convenient amenities with two parks located just within the neighborhood. High Country Park is just over 10 acres and has two playscapes, picnic tables, short paved walking trail, full basketball court and playing fields. At the northern end of the subdivision is Bradford Park, a smaller 4.35 acre park that has 0.30 miles of trail, a picturesque body of water that rests in the heart of the park, four picnic tables, two barbecue grills, and a playscape.

High Country Schools

Students in High Country attend Round Rock ISD schools, which is comprised of over 30 elementary schools, 10 middle schools and 5 high schools. Over 45,000 students attend the schools in the district, which stretches into North Austin and parts of Cedar Park.

The Elementary, Middle and High Schools are all within a 2 mile distance, just a short drive away.  Cedar Ridge High School focuses on a learning environment that respects all cultures, celebrates achievement, and promotes citizenship in an ever-changing global community.
