Legends Village is a newer neighborhood, developed over the last decade, on the eastern side of Round Rock, north of Highway 79, roughly midway between I-35 and Toll Road 130.  The community was developed by Buffington Homes, KB Homes, and Taylor Morrison Homes, who have included a number of energy efficient features in these houses.  Prices here typically run in the low- to mid-$200s, making it a popular choice for young professionals and families, as well as first-time buyers.

Fans of outdoor fun will find plenty to love in Legends Village, as is conveniently located only blocks from several of Round Rock’s hottest recreation areas, including the city’s crown jewel of their parks system, Old Settlers Park,and The Rock’n River Family Aquatic Center.  It is so close to the Dell Diamond, home of the city’s AAA minor league baseball team, the Round Rock Express, that many resident’s can see the stadium’s weekly Friday night fireworks from their own yards.

The Legends Village community is located within the following boundaries:  north of East Palm Valley Boulevard/Highway 79, west of Kenney Fort Boulevard/Arterial A, south of Old Settlers Boulevard, and east of Pheasant Ridge and Chandler Creek Boulevard.  This neighborhood lies approximately four miles east of I-35 and four miles west of Toll Road 130.  It is a part of Williamson County, and is in the 78665 zip code.

Homes in Legends Village

Homes in Legends Village were built in the years 2006-2013.  Home builders included Taylor Morrison, Buffington Homes, and KB Homes.  Prices generally run in the low to mid-$200s.  Square footage for most homes in this community is in the 2000s, though homes vary in size from the mid-1,000s to low 3,000s.

In the past year 38 homes came on the market in Legends Village.  List prices ranged from $193,00 to $267,800.  The average home sold in Legends Village this year had four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and was sized at 2,271 square feet.  The median sold price was $234,700, or $105.25/square foot.  Like many of Round Rock’s communities in this price point, Legends Village is sought after.  That is evident in the quick sales times in Legends Village; the median days on market this past year was only nine days.

Homes in this area are built with both one or two stories and typically have two car garages on the front of homes.  Lot sizes vary from .15 to .26 acres.  Some homes back up to greenbelt areas for added privacy.  Desirable features in these homes are Energy Star-certified construction and appliances, media rooms, island kitchens, granite countertops, and separate tub and showers in the bathrooms.

Legends Village Amenities

The community has an HOA, the Legends Village Homeowners Association, which manages a community pool with a clubhouse and adjacent playscape area for residents.

Recreation options abound near Legends Village.  Two of the city’s most spectacular parks are just blocks away from the neighborhood.  The expansive Old Settlers Park, runs north and east of Legends Village.  This sprawling public park spans 645 acres and offers numerous recreational areas, including 40 picnic and barbecue areas and several pavilions.  There are dozens of sports courts and fields, soccer facilities, a 20-field baseball complex, a 5-field softball complex, seven playgrounds, trails, fishing areas, a disc golf course, and much more. The city regularly holds special events like festivals and concerts at Old Settlers Park, and sports tourists come to town to participate in the various tournaments held in the park.  In the summer months, residents flock to the newly expanded waterpark at The Rock’n River Family Aquatic Center to enjoy the thrilling slides, lagoons, pools, cabanas and huge Sprayground Play Unit.

The Dell Diamond is also located within minutes of the Park at Legends Village.  This minor league ballpark is the home of the Round Rock Express, the Texas Ranger’s AAA-minor league baseball affiliate, and it is one of the community’s favorite destinations.

 

Legends Village Schools

Residents of Legends Village attend schools in the esteemed Round Rock Independent School District.  Children can walk or bike to the elementary school, as it is only a half mile west of the neighborhood.  Both the middle and high schools are also fairly close, about 2.5 miles from the neighborhood.  The public schools for this neighborhood have received all received “Exemplary” ratings.
