These prized features, along with its very convenient location inside the triangle formed by Sam Bass Road, West Old Settler’s Boulevard, and I-35, make The Plantation a highly desirable community among buyers looking in Round Rock.
The Plantation neighborhood is located about one mile west of I-35, near the intersection of West Old Settler’s Boulevard and Plantation Drive. The northern border of The Plantation is West Old Settler’s Boulevard, and the western edge lies along Creek Bend Boulevard. Homes in The Plantation were built in the 1990s and early 2000s by a variety of custom home builders. Prices range from the $500s to $700s. Lot sizes are large, varying from just under a half acre to three quarters of an acre. Homes tend to be grand in this neighborhood, with high-end features like pools, spas, gourmet kitchens, media rooms, and opulent master bathrooms. Luxurious upgrades buyers can expect as standard in this neighborhood include four sides brick or stone exteriors, hardwood or marble floors, crown moldings, plantation shutters, extensive landscaping with sprinkler systems, and security systems.

Just north of The Plantation, on the other side of West Old Settler’s Boulevard, lies Behrens Ranch Park, which offers hundreds of acres of natural beauty. Though currently undeveloped, Round Rock has voted to create an additional 3.5 miles of trails within this passive metropolitan park, which will give residents plenty of acreage to roam.
The Plantation also offers a prime location, close to Round Rock’s major higher education centers, including campuses for Texas A&M Health Science Center, Texas State University, and Austin Community College, as well as some of the largest employers in the region, like Dell and TECO/Westinghouse.
