Silver Oak is a 98-acre, master-planned Cedar Park community of single family homes and townhouses, developed between 2001-2012.  It has about 295 lots, and at the southern end of the neighborhood, buyers will find a section of townhomes known as the Silver Oak Townhouses.

The neighborhood is popular with families looking for newer home construction in a master-planned setting, quality public schools within walking distance, and quick access to the 183A toll road or Parmer Lane for their work commutes.  The townhouses appeal to buyers looking to buy a lower-maintenance option with an affordable price point or less square footage, while still gaining the benefits of a suburban neighborhood.  Silver Oak is also a great fit for those who want close-by public parks.  Both the Brushy Creek Sports Park and Brushy Creek Lake Park, two of Cedar Park’s largest and most popular, are less than five minutes’ drive away.

The Forest Oaks Greenbelt, which includes a hike and bike trail, runs through the western side of the neighborhood, and Silver Oak residents have access to great recreational offerings through their homeowner association’s parks, playscapes, and pools.

Silver Oak is located in Williamson County, between the following boundaries: Trailridge Drive on the west, East Park Street on the north, Gupton Way Drive to the east, and Brushy Creek Road to the south. The zip code for Silver Oak is 78613, and it is in the city limits of Cedar Park.

Homes in Silver Oak were constructed from the early 2000s until 2012. The neighborhood’s home builders included Grand Haven, D.R. Horton, and Kimball Hill Homes.  Square footage varies from the mid-1000s, to just under 4,000.  Lot sizes vary from low-maintenance, zero-acre townhouses to 1/3 of an acre properties.

List prices in Silver Oak range from $192,500-$499,900.  In 2015, homes sold from $196,000 to $435,000, or a range of $86-$152/square foot.  Most of the houses in Silver Oak have three or four bedrooms, though two bedroom townhomes and five bedroom homes can be found in this neighborhood.  Homes average two to four bathrooms and two- or three-car garages.

Silver Oak homes typically feature sought-after modern features like stainless steel appliances, stone countertops, sprinkler systems, four sides masonry, garden tubs, and covered patios.  Special features seen in many Silver Oaks properties include in-law suites on the ground floor, built-in outdoor cooking areas, upstairs game rooms, and pools.

Silver Oak Amenities

The Silver Oak community is a member of the Forest Oaks Homeowner’s Association, which gives residents access to two pools, three playscapes, a basketball court, and community center in the adjacent Forest Oaks neighborhood.  For the fitness-minded, there is a greenbelt with a 2.5 mile wooded hike and bike trail that runs along the western edge of the neighborhood.

One of the pools is a junior-olympic sized pool with nearby plascape, basketball court, and grilling area.  The second pool, adjacent to the community center, offers a beach-type walk-in with water slide and a playscape.  Both locations give residents covered seating areas with tables, restrooms, and lifeguards on duty.  A third playscape is available at a park situated along the greenbelt.  The community center offers a clubhouse which residents may rent for personal use, like parties or meetings.  The HOA is very active, offering frequent socials like festivals, poker nights, and monthly get-togethers, allowing residents plenty of options to get to know their neighbors.

Through the greenbelt trail, residents of Silver Oak enjoy access to the extensive trail system of the City of Cedar Park.  It has over 22 miles of concrete and crushed gravel trails connecting major spots in the city, allowing residents to walk or bike to work or school.

 

Silver Oak Schools

The Silver Oak neighborhood is served by the Leander Independent School District. One reason that families are drawn to Silver Oak is that its schools are all within walking distance.  The elementary school lies at the northeastern edge of the neighborhood, and the middle and high schools are just about a half mile further east.
