The Woods of Brushy Creek is a deed-restricted community of over 700 homes, located in western Round Rock, between the cities of Cedar Park to the west and downtown Round Rock to the east. The neighborhood was developed from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s, and it is known as a family-friendly, suburban subdivision with great public schools.  Buyers can expect to find homes in the $200s and $300s in this community.  The Woods of Brushy Creek is one of several neighborhoods which make up the larger Brushy Creek area, which is named for the winding stream which meanders through the region.  It is also part of the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District, which not only manages utilities, but offers a parks and recreation department with an extensive array of recreational facilities and activities for its homeowners.

Though it offers quiet suburban living, The Woods of Brushy Creek also gives homeowners convenient commuting to work in Austin, Cedar Park, or Round Rock, as it is located near several major roadways. It is only a couple of miles from Parmer Lane, and roughly five miles from Toll Road 45/Loop 1, Highway 183, or I-35. Also, it is only six miles east of the Lakeline Station for Capitol Metro’s commuter rail into Austin.

Homes in The Woods of Brushy Creek were built in the mid-1990s through early 2000s on good-sized lots of .15-.25 acres with mature trees.  Buyers looking for traditional brick homes, an established neighborhood, with an involved homeowner’s association will be pleased with the lovely, tidy offerings in this popular community.   In The Woods of Brushy Creek, square footage ranges from the 1800s to 3700s.  Buyers will find some houses with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, but most have four bedrooms and two or two and a half baths.  Both one and two story houses can be found here, and they have garage space for two to three cars.

The Brushy Creek Parks and Recreation Department at the MUD also offers recreational programming for both adults and children, such as multiple sports leagues, educational programs, fine arts classes, hike and bike trails, a community center garden, summer camps, and after school programs.  They also hold numerous special events like parents night out, adult and senior citizen socials, dances, and fun runs, to let neighbors socialize together and stay active.  As you can see, buyers don’t have to hunt for fun activities to keep the whole family busy in this neighborhood; The Woods at Brushy Creek offers them in abundance.

Children living in the Woods of Brushy Creek neighborhood may attend public schools in the Round Rock Independent School District. Both the elementary and middle schools are located within the neighborhood, allowing students to easily walk or bike to their campuses. The high school is also convenient, located about three and a half miles northeast of The Woods of Brushy Creek. All three of the schools have received an overall rating of “Exemplary.”

Parents looking for quality private schools also have several options nearby, including Holy Family Catholic School and St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School, which are are located a few minutes west of the community, on Neenah Avenue, as well as Round Rock Christian Academy, which is about three and a half miles northeast of The Woods of Brushy Creek.
